Welcome to Theme Park Hype, the Web’s only social news and link sharing site for theme park fans. It’s an online community where you’ll be able to discover, share, discuss, and vote on theme park-related links. Theme Park Hype is a fun and easy way to share and discover cool, new stuff.

What’s been Remixed for 2013?
If you’re familiar with Theme Park Hype, you’ll notice that the site looks quite different. The site’s goal of sharing fun theme park-related content has not changed, but the format is very different.

Publishing
The new Theme Park Hype is going to make publishing faster than ever. With features like the new interface to auto-publishing for approved members, it’ll be easier than ever to share. There are also different post types so you’ll be able to share images, links, and even videos.

New Member Pages
Now members will have their own page of submitted posts, posts they’ve liked, and also the ability to follow other users.

Soft Launch is Here!
For now, registration is closed to new members until we can test the site fully. If you can’t remember your login info or would just like to join, feel free to send me an email via the Contact Page. Again, my aim is to keep membership small for now.

Discover – The Web’s BIG. See What You’ve Been Missing
Imagine a high-quality hodgepodge of theme park-related links. You’ll never know what you’ll find. There’s a lot out there that won’t always be unearthed by your favorite message boards or theme park blogs.

Vote – Ride the Hype!
Contribute to the pulse of the community by voting for links that you like or find interesting. The cream will rise to the top and we’ll be able to see the most popular items. Similar to diggs on Digg or likes on Facebook, the number next to each of the submitted links is the number of votes that the link has received.

Share – Break a Story, Share Something Really Cool
Did you find an interesting news story? Do you have an exceptional photo from your last theme park trip? Or, did you find a great (official) on-ride video? Submit it and share it with the World. It’ll be quick and easy.

Discuss – Give Your Take
You’ll be able to sound off about the great links that you find. Commenting on links will work just like a forum or blog post.

Connect – Engage Other Theme Park Fans
The site’s social features are in beta, but you’ll notice links to a Members Directory and your own Hype Page in Admin Bar at the top of the site after you log in. These features will not only allow you to share some information about yourself, like your favorite rides and theme parks, but they’ll also allow you to friend and communicate with other members. Depending on how well things go additional features could be added as well.
